Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha, Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour operator and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. You can spend the day resting and preparing for your safari adventure.

Day 2: Mara River Crossing
The Mara River crossing is one of the most dramatic highlights of the migration. On this day, you will head towards the Mara River, where thousands of wildebeest gather on the riverbanks. You will witness their attempts to cross the river, facing the dangers of crocodiles and strong currents. It’s a thrilling spectacle to observe.

Day 3: Northern Serengeti
Explore the northern region of the Serengeti, which is known for its open grassy plains and scattered kopjes (rocky outcrops). This area offers excellent opportunities to spot predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as they take advantage of the abundant prey during the migration. you will also spot variety of other animals while on the game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch, and later afternoon, embark on another game drive to continue with the game viewing. These will go on until evening where you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Grumeti River Crossing
You will have morning breakfast at the lodge and their after, Travel to the Grumeti River, another significant obstacle for the migrating herds. Here, the wildebeest and other animals face similar challenges as at the Mara River. Witness the spectacle as the animals make daring leaps into the river, navigating through crocodile-infested waters. you will still have a full day game drive

Day 5: Game Drives and Wildlife Viewing
Embark on game drives in the northern Serengeti, exploring different areas and habitats to encounter a wide variety of wildlife. Apart from wildebeest, you might see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. Your guide will share their knowledge about the wildlife and ecosystems.
The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for Africa’s best game viewing as there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Upon arrival at the Crater’s rim, you will descend 610 meters into the Crater where your safari truly begins. Spot the endangered black rhino, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle and of course, giant tusked elephants.

Day 6: Departure Day Northern Serengeti to Arusha
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you will fly back to Arusha, where you will be transferred to the airport or your onward destination.
